Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RetirementOS ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use useretirementos.com (the "Site"), including our free Retirement Readiness Score and our paid retirement planning toolkit. The short version
• The retirement numbers you type into the calculator (such as your age, savings, income and spending) stay in your own web browser. We do not receive or store them on our servers. • If you buy the toolkit, we keep your email address and a record of your purchase so we can give you access. • We use Meta (Facebook) advertising tools to measure and improve our ads, and Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. • We do not sell your personal information for money.
Information you enter into the calculator
The numbers you enter into the calculator and toolkit are processed and saved only in your browser, using your browser's local storage. They are not sent to us. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, they are not recoverable by us, which is why the toolkit includes an Export feature. Your PDF report is also created in your browser.
Information we collect
When you buy the toolkit: • Your email address, which you enter at checkout. • Purchase details: the amount, currency, date, payment status and reference numbers from our payment processor. • Payment card details are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
When you sign in to the toolkit: • Your email address and a sign-in session, kept in cookies so you stay signed in.
When you visit the Site: • Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, the page that referred you, and your approximate location (country), collected by our hosting, analytics and advertising providers as described below. • Meta advertising cookies (named _fbp and _fbc), which identify your browser and, if you arrived from one of our ads, the ad you clicked.
If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
How we use your information
• To process your payment and give you access to the toolkit, including emailing you a secure sign-in link. • To handle refunds and access recovery requests. • To respond to your questions. • To measure how many people visit the Site and which pages they use. • To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, including understanding which ads lead to purchases and showing ads to people who may be interested. • To protect the Site against fraud and abuse, and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Service providers we share information with
We use the following service providers. Each receives only the information it needs to provide its service to us.
• Stripe (payments): your email address, payment details and billing information. • Supabase (database and sign-in): your email address, purchase record and sign-in sessions. • Resend (email delivery): your email address and the access emails we send you. • Vercel (website hosting): standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type. • Vercel Web Analytics (visit counting): pages visited, referring site, country and browser or device type. It does not use cookies. • Meta Platforms (advertising measurement): pages you visit on the Site, when you start checkout, when you complete a purchase and its value, the Meta cookies described above, your IP address and browser type, and your email address in hashed (scrambled) form so Meta can match the purchase to a Meta account. Meta's use of this information is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
Advertising, cookies and your choices
The Site uses: • Essential cookies, which keep you signed in to the toolkit. • Advertising cookies from Meta (_fbp and _fbc), which are set when you visit the Site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also manage how Meta uses information to show you ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info. Blocking cookies will not affect the free score, but you will need to allow essential cookies to stay signed in to the toolkit.
Under some US state laws, such as California's, sharing information with Meta for advertising may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, email us at toby@purebasegrowth.com with the subject "Do not share", and block cookies for this Site in your browser.
How long we keep information
We keep your email address and purchase records for as long as you have access to the toolkit and as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes, generally up to 7 years after purchase. Sign-in sessions expire automatically. Calculator numbers stay in your browser until you delete them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to opt out of advertising-related sharing, and to complain to a privacy regulator. To make a request, email toby@purebasegrowth.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
International transfers
We are based in Australia, and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different privacy laws from your own.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), single-use sign-in links and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and we limit what we collect in the first place.
Children
The Site is intended for adults planning for retirement. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

RetirementOS is an educational planning tool. It does not provide financial, tax or legal advice.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
